PhraseExpress sends your changes to the central sync folder and apply changes made by others to your local phrase file.

Phraseexpress server update#
To update your local phrase file with remote changes: Individual phrase folders can be access restricted, so you can still have your personal phrases. If you password-protect the phrase file, make sure that all users who join the file sharing know the password. The phrases will be encrypted before they are stored in the cloud.
Phraseexpress server password#
If using an online cloud service, you may want to set a password to encrypt your phrase file for secure data transmission. If using a cloud sync service, wait until the cloud service has distributed the sync file to all computers. All other users do not create a sync folder but rather join the sync folder as described below. IMPORTANT: This initial setup needs to be done by one user only. PhraseExpress will copy your phrases and other files to the selected folder. a network share or a cloud service sync folder. This must be a location where all other users have access to, e.g.
Phraseexpress server license#
Local License: The client is registered locally and does not require a license from the central license pool (if any). Licensed: The client has successfully received a license from the SQL license database.ĭemo: The client has no license and is running in demo or freeware mode. If the personal folder is not empty, it will remain to protect against data loss. Any existing personal phrase folder will be deleted on the client if it empty. If the check mark is removed, personal phrase folders are no longer created on the corresponding clients. In this phrase folder users can store individual phrases to which only he has access: If the check mark in column "P" is set, a personal phrase folder will be created with the next restart of the respective PhraseExpress Clients, if such folder does not exist yet. If you uncheck the "C" check box in the title bar, any client connecting for the first time will have no write access to the phrase file by default. The check boxes in the title bar also define the default settings for new clients connecting for the first time. To change settings for all clients in one go, (un)check the check box in the title row and transfer this setting with the Set button.

If unchecked, access to program settings is disabled to prevent configuration errors. The check boxes in the column " C" (for "configuration") define whether a client can access program settings. If zero, or if the client has a locally registered license, this setting is retrieved on client launch only.
